Privacy Policy
Last updated October 20, 2026. Layoverr is built to share as little as possible. This is everything we collect and why.
What we collect
- Your Apple sign in ID. Sign in with Apple gives us an anonymous identifier. We never see your Apple password, and we don't ask for your email.
- Your profile. First name, birthday (to confirm you're 18+; others only see your age), gender and optional pronouns, the icon and color you pick, a short bio, what you're up for, your vibe (friends, flirting, dating, something casual), and who you're open to flirting with.
- Your check-in. When you open a room, your phone sends its location once. We use it to confirm which airport you're at and then discard it. We store only the airport code, the terminal you chose to share (if any), and when your time in the room ends.
- Waves, chats, blocks and reports. Needed to run the app and keep it safe.
What other people see
People checked in at the same airport see your first name, age, pronouns, icon, bio, what you're up for, the terminal you shared, and how long you're there. Your gender, flirty vibes, and who you're into are never shown as labels: a flirty vibe appears only to someone who chose the same vibe and is a mutual match for who you're each into. Nobody sees your location, gate, flight, birthday, or anything else.
How long we keep it
- Check-ins end automatically when your time is up, or when you leave the room.
- Chats are deleted 7 days after you match.
- Waves expire after 24 hours.
- Reports are kept as long as needed to keep the community safe.
- Deleting your account (You › Delete account) removes your profile, check-in and chats right away.
What we never do
We don't sell your data, show ads, use trackers, or share anything with data brokers. We don't store photos. Data is stored with our hosting providers (Vercel and Upstash) only to run the service.
Age
Layoverr is only for adults 18 and over. Accounts that enter an under-18 birthday are locked.
